the art of losing
has to be overcome, has to be stopped
it's the dissipation of a world that is not complete
the squandering of a life that is not yet over
an unwilling forfeiture that has to be made
an ugly, denuded truth
a state of utter privation, a renouncement of life
leaving the bereaved to fight an elegiac reality
it is said the the art of losing isn't hard to master
i beg to differ
divesting ones you love seems an insurmountable task
it wasn't meant to be, it will not last
this is the art of loving, living, losing
it will be conquered
